If your request may fall within the Foundation’s litigation program, a staff attorney or legal assistant will contact you. There is no charge. Information you send seeking legal aid is kept confidential.

Use only your personal email address. Using someone else’s email or an employer-provided address may be deemed to waive confidentiality.

The Foundation typically can help with

  • Compulsory union membership or compulsory dues
  • Forced union dues used for politics
  • Obstruction of your Janus rights, including opt-out “windows” and deductions that will not stop
  • Union violence against workers, decertification or deauthorization elections, and exclusive hiring-hall abuses

What this program does not cover

The Foundation does not provide assistance on other employment matters — non-compete clauses, employment at will, general discrimination claims (age, race, disability), or internal union questions from voluntary members.
